Fostering the Urban Mining Industry
Urban mining is the state that metallic minerals, which are industrial materials, become a mine that is spread widely in small quantities around living surroundings
as a product or waste. By considering used products and by-products of the industrial process as recycling resources, the CRIM fosters urban mining, which re-
supplies the metal materials contained in products as industrial raw materials via the processes of collection-disassembly-shredding-crushing-smelting-refining.
- Urban mining resources
Urban mining resources include products and by-products of processes involving recoverable metals such as iron, widely-used non-ferrous metals, precious
metals, and rare metals.
